"We are honored that Tata Teleservices chose XOP Network's Mobile Service Provider VAS package for its Mobile Conferencing application." said, Sudhir Gupta, CEO XOP Networks

XOP Networks, Inc., a manufacturer of Value Added Service platforms that provide Audio Conferencing, Web Conferencing, Video Conferencing, Enhanced Firebar (emergency conferencing), Voice Mail, Mass Notification (emergency alerting), and other applications announced today that Tata Teleservices Limited, a leading dual technology telecom service provider in India with more than 90 million subscribers has added SMS based Mobile Conferencing to its VAS lineup. The service is offered nationwide and is available to TTL’s CDMA and GSM subscribers.

The Mobile Service Provider VAS Package is specifically designed to meet the needs of mobile service providers that wish to sell audio conferencing services to their subscribers. The addition of SMS capability will allow a subscriber to get connected with either a preset group or a dynamically chosen group simply by sending a SMS message to the USN conference bridge equipment. The SMS based Instant Conferencing capability is included in XOP Networks’ Mobile Service Provider VAS Package. Besides the SMPP 3.4 interface for SMS integration, this package also includes Click-to-Connect web portal, High Availability Server Monitoring/ Failover software, XML based API for integration with external CRM systems, CDR generation and uploading to FTP sites, and automated reporting of subscriber take-rate and usage.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Sukanto Aich, President Enterprise Business, Tata Teleservices Limited said, “We are delighted to introduce another revolutionary value added service for our customers across the Tata World. Our collaboration with XOP Networks has enabled us to offer Insta conferencing service based on XOP’s Firebar application. It is aimed at large, small and medium enterprises, wherever there is a need for instant, voice-based group communication. The service is hassle-free, easy to connect anytime, from anywhere, can connect any number of people at one point in time, and above all is cost-effective with no additional rentals.”

“SMS driven Instant Conferencing has been a great addition to our current set of VAS offerings. This allows our customers to set up on-the-fly dial out conference calls with both on-net and off-net participants, Mr. Aich further added.”..

“We are pleased to be part of Tata Teleservices Limited’s nationwide Insta Conference network. Our Mobile Conferencing application can be launched from any ordinary cell phone that can send a SMS - no client download or a fancy smartphone required." said Sudhir Gupta, CEO of XOP Networks.

“This is the first of what we expect to be many, mobile service providers around the globe embracing conferencing as a revenue enhancing service in the coming months. In particular, we expect the SMS driven audio conferencing to be the driver of these mobile revenue generating services” added Doug Jacobs, XOP Networks’ VP of Sales and Marketing.

About XOP Networks

Beginning in 2003, XOP Networks embarked on developing a next generation IP based service and application platform. Realizing this vision, it shipped its first product, a Digital Collaboration Bridge (DCB) in 2004. A DCB combines rich Audio Conferencing with Desktop sharing, Document sharing and White boarding, thus creating a collaborative experience for the end users. Leveraging the success of the DCB, the product portfolio was expanded in 2005 to include the Group Alerting and Conferencing Server (GACS). The GACS allows mass notification messages to be dispatched over a variety of communications networks, while it brings an organization's brain trust into a quick audio conference. Year 2006 saw the addition of the enhanced Voice Mail Server (VMS) to the product line. In 2007 XOP Networks launched its Universal Service Node (USN) which offers multiple value added services on one platform. In 2008, support was added for Hoot and Holler conferencing over TDM and VoIP networks on the USN platform. In 2009 XOP Networks introduced Ring down Firebar Conference (RFCS) that allows a conference to be set up simply by lifting a handset on an analog or IP phone. Several other enhancements were introduced including support for Secure conferencing, SMS driven instant-conferencing, Group SMS and Voice SMS capabilities. In 2010 the product line was further hardened for use in defense networks and received the coveted JITC certification from the US Department of Defense.

Flexibility of our product’s architecture allows us to quickly customize our solutions to fit the needs of our customers.

Headquartered in Plano, Texas, XOP Networks was founded in 2002 and is backed by a seasoned management team. Deployed at multiple Service Providers, Fortune 100 companies, Government organizations, DoD networks (Air Force, Army and Navy) XOP Networks' products allow customers to generate new revenue, increase business efficiency and enhance emergency communications. Having both legacy and VoIP interfaces, XOP products allow customers to seamlessly transition their value added services from legacy circuit switched networks to VoIP based packet switched networks.
