XOP Networks’ Customers Prefer Virtualized Conference Bridge Delivery

To date we have successfully deployed our SIP based Audio Conference Bridge, and other VAS application software on a number of virtual machines available from different manufacturers.

After announcing its Bring Your Own Server (BYOS) early last year XOP Networks, Inc., a developer of Value Added Service (VAS) software based platforms and Audio Conference Bridges is receiving wide spread acceptance of its virtualized SIP based platform that allows customers to use their own servers - saving money and time.

The XOP Networks’ Universal Service Node (USN) is a multi-application platform that supports Audio Conferencing, Web Conferencing, Mass Notification, Visual Voice Mail, One Number with Find-me, and Enhanced Firebar services. All of these Value Added Service applications, in conjunction with SIP/VoIP networks, can now run in virtualized fashion on VMware’s ESXi, Microsoft’s Hyper-V and Citrix’s XenServers.

XOP Networks’ customers are attracted to the Virtualized USN solution due to:

  •     Flexibility of being able to use their own server
  •     Significant reduction in time required to deliver the product
  •     Easily move virtual machines to a new host with no application outages
  •     Perform maintenance and upgrades with zero downtime

“SIP trunking along with enhancements in virtualization technology has set the stage for the next generation method of delivery of Value Added Service platforms. To date we have successfully deployed our SIP based Audio Conference Bridge, and other VAS application software on a number of virtual machines available from different manufacturers,” said Sudhir Gupta, XOP Networks’ CEO.
