XOP Networks’ Ringdown Firebar Conference Server Replaces Another Legacy Crashnet System at a Major Airport in Texas

XOP Networks, Inc., a manufacturer of Value Added Service platforms and Audio Conference Bridges offers its Ring-down Firebar Conferencing System (RFCS), a next generation Crashnet Phone System as a suitable replacement for unsupported legacy Crashnet systems to both military and commercial airports.

Ringdown Firebar Conference Systems (RFCS) are typically deployed as “CrashNet Phone Systems” at military and commercial airports but also used on campus locations that are prone to emergency situations, e.g., Chemical plants, Oil and gas installations, Education/Colleges among others. This system allows an individual close to the emergency to simply lift the handset on any of the RFCS connected phones and trigger a call to other phones. As first responders answer these calls they are automatically placed into a conference with the initiator.

“Our Ring down Firebar Conference Server product is a next generation, robust Linux based platform that is designed to fulfill the emergency conferencing needs of first responders. The XOP Networks’ RFCS has a number of distinct advantages:

  •     Built in back-up power
  •     Solid state Hard Drive
  •     Small (2U) Telco chassis
  •     Choice of FXS or FXO lines
  •     Display line status

“Besides use of existing analog emergency ‘Red Phones’ customers can also add VoIP/SIP phones as they plan their migration towards packet based networks,” said Sudhir Gupta, CEO of XOP Networks.

“Legacy CrashNets are becoming unsupported in increasing numbers. XOP Networks’ RFCS is designed to be a suitable replacement for legacy Crashnet systems. We recently replaced a legacy Crashnet system with our RFCS at a major Airport in Texas. The RFCS can be deployed standalone or be integrated with PBX or IP PBX that may be deployed on site making it easy to integrate into any network and allows emergency conferences to be triggered from or received by telephones that are connected to the PSTN/ DSN,” added Doug Jacobs, VP Sales and Marketing, XOP Networks.
