Early Years

2003

Beginning in 2003, XOP Networks embarked on developing a next generation IP based service and application platform.from legacy circuit switched networks to VoIP based packet switched networks.
First Product

2004

Realizing this vision, we shipped our first product, a Digital Collaboration Bridge (DCB) in 2004. A DCB combines rich Audio Conferencing with Desktop sharing, Application sharing and White boarding, thus creating a collaborative experience for the end users.
Introducing New Products

2005

Leveraging the success of the DCB, the product portfolio was expanded in 2005 to include the Group Alerting and Conferencing Server (GACS). The GACS allows mass notification messages to be dispatched over a variety of communications networks, while it brings an organization’s brain trust into a quick audio conference.

2006

Year 2006 saw the addition of the enhanced Voice Mail Server (VMS) to the product line. The Voicemail server supports both legacy TDM and VoIP interfaces and can scale from 100’s to 10,000’s mail boxes.

2007

In 2007 XOP Networks launched its Universal Service Node (USN) which offers multiple value added services on one platform.

2008

In 2008, we added support for Hoot and Holler Conferencing over TDM and VoIP networks on our USN platform.

2009

In 2009 we introduced Ring down Firebar Conference Server (RFCS) that allows a conference to be set up simply by lifting a handset on an analog or IP phone. Several other enhancements were introduced including support for Secure conferencing, SMS driven instant-conferencing, Group SMS and Voice SMS capabilities.
Certification

2010

In 2010 the product line was hardened for use in secure defense networks and won the coveted Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Certification. The testing was sponsored by the US Air Force.

We also expanded the scalability of our USN conference bridge product – from as small as 8 ports to as large as 16,000 ports under one management system. We also support our applications in a VMWare virtual server environment.

Applicartions & Services

2011

In 2011, we added Desktop Video Conferencing to our Web Conferencing application. We also introduced SIP based Video Codec and a SIP based Video Multi-point Control Unit (MCU). With these products end users with any video capable device (e.g., Video enabled Softphones, Video enabled IP phones, Smartphones (Blackberry, iPhone and other), Tablet Computers, Video Codecs etc.) can simply dial a phone number and join in a HD Video Conference.

2012

In 2012, we added Multi Language capability to our products. Our products now support all major languages including French, Spanish, Russian, Hindi, and Mandarin. Further, the equipment allows easy upgrade for introduction of new languages as needed. We also added Light Weight Data Access Protocol (LDAP) package to the product family. This allows our products to operate in conjunction with external databases.

2013

In 2013, we added web services interface to the product line. Based on the HTTP message received, the a new conference can be scheduled or a Firebar/Mass Notification can be triggered. The USN can now detect movement of IP phones between floors/buildings by automatic periodic querying of associated Ethernet Switches using SNMP. The Mass Notification application can also send Text Messages to IP Phones.
